General Meeting Information
This session will cover the latest updates in the world of cardiogenic shock and dash; from classification, current outcomes, the use of temporary mechanical support and the role, if any, for intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this educational activity, the learner will be able to:
1. Identify the new classification system for cardiogenic shock.
2. Describe the current outcomes with temporary mechanical support.
3. Assess the role of IABP in the management of cardiogenic shock.
