Heart failure with mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) represents a unique and evolving heart failure phenotype that shares characteristics with both heart failure with reduced (HFrEF) and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). To provide clinicians with practical insights into this increasingly recognized patient population, co-authors of the Heart Failure with Mildly Reduced Ejection Fraction: An HFSA Scientific Statement will lead a one-hour seminar exploring the key findings and recommendations from the publication.

During this interactive program, faculty will break down the scientific statement into three focused segments: epidemiology and clinical outcomes, pathophysiology and the overlap/transitional state of HFmrEF, and contemporary treatment strategies.

This seminar offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from the authors and explore the latest evidence shaping HFmrEF care.

This activity is intended for physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacologists, trainees, fellows.
Following this activity, participants will be better able to: 

  1. Describe the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and outcomes associated with HFmrEF.
  2. Examine the pathophysiologic features of HFmrEF, including its role as an overlap and transitional heart failure phenotype.
  3. Discuss current treatment strategies for patients with HFmrEF.
