2024 HFSA Heart Failure Seminar: Focus on Cognitive Impairment
Cognitive impairment is prevalent in patients living with heart failure and was recently shown to negatively impact functional abilities, life expectancy, medication management and patient self-care. Clinicians have a responsibility to recognize and address cognitive impairment as an integral component of personalized care for patients with heart failure (HF).
The HFSA Heart Failure Seminar: Focus on Cognitive Impairment in Heart Failure features co-authors Eiran Gorodeski, MD, MPH, FHFSA, and Parag Goyal, MD, MSc, FHFSA, as they identify key takeaways from the Cognitive Impairment in Heart Failure: A Heart Failure Society of America Scientific Statement. They are also joined by co-authors Larry Allen, MD, MHS, FHFSA, Robert DiDomenico, PharmD, FHFSA, and Connie White-Williams, PhD, RN, for an open discussion and Q&A session.
