Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an audience of cardiologists, primary care physicians, diabetologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and pharmacists in the United States.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to identify the latest insights into the role of nsMRAs in heart failure (HF), focusing on their potential to address unmet needs in HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and HF with mid-range ejection fraction (HFmrEF), and to connect emerging evidence with practical strategies for integrating nsMRAs into clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with HF.

• Gaps in current HF management, particularly for patients with HFpEF and HFmrEF, and the limitations of existing therapies
• Mechanisms of action (MOAs) of nsMRAs and their differentiation from traditional steroidal MRAs, including their potential to address disease progression in HF
• Latest clinical trial data for nsMRAs in HF, focusing on efficacy, safety, and potential impact on HF outcomes
• Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to Identify where nsMRAs may fit into interprofessional HF treatment plans, aligning with emerging evidence and evolving clinical guidelines to optimize patient care
